Pamela Michienzi, RP, OATR, BA., DipAT, FA Cert.
Pamela is a Registered Art Psychotherapist registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and the Ontario Art Therapy Association. She completed her undergraduate degree in Visual Arts, minoring in Psychology, and a postgraduate diploma in Art Therapy through the University of Western Ontario. She also holds a Fundamentals in Addiction certification from Fanshawe College.
Pamela has been working with populations struggling with mental health and addictions for more than 20 years within various agencies, school boards, correctional facilities, government agencies, and in private practice. Her previous employment has provided extensive experience in the addictions field, including over a decade of front-line experience at Choices for Change: Alcohol, Drug and Gambling Counselling Centre (now CMHA Huron-Perth) as a school-based youth addictions counsellor and an in-house addictions counsellor at the former Bluewater Youth Detention Centre. She has also worked as a facilitator contracted by CMHA to instruct the Back on Track Remedial Program, mandated for convicted impaired drivers in Ontario. Additionally, she spent years employed at ConnexOntario as a relief System Navigator and Referral Specialist, gaining a broad knowledge base and understanding of how government-funded resources and treatment programs are accessed and operated within the province of Ontario.
Pamela is a warm-hearted and empathetic professional who believes that each person is unique and holds unlimited potential to overcome life’s obstacles and achieve personal, professional, and relationship goals. She believes that individuals possess the ability to relate to their life experiences with understanding, compassion, and self-acceptance. Pamela takes a holistic approach to wellness, supporting clients in achieving their goals by developing their individual strengths.
